Slip decoration

There have been several requests from potters, friends and customers who want to see the process of my slip decoration. So here it is....
These are done on my Bollywood inspired mugs and of course I have to listen to Bollywood music while making them. If you put one of my mugs against your ear you might still hear some music. :) I hope you enjoy the clip.
The music track is taken from the movie Saawariya starring Ranbir Kapoor

WOW!
Great idea using the piece of foam to hold the mugs while working on them!

Thanks I came up with that after my hand got tired of holding the mug. Also this way I can decorate with gravity in my favor.

So impressive. Thanks for sharing. Have wanted to work with slip trailing for a while but can't ever find the right tools. What are you using?

Love your work and so impressive! I have wanted to use slip trailing but have not found any tools that seem to work as well as yours. Where did you get it? Also - are you using a commercial slip or do you make your own?

Hi Jamie,
I make my slip trailing tool from mylar paper and you can see the video on my website http://www.creativewithclay.com. It was featured on the Ceramic Arts Daily a while back. Here is the link. http://ceramicartsdaily.org/pottery-making-techniques/ceramic-decorating-techniques/video-of-the-week-slip-cones-easy-to-make-pottery-tools-for-precise-slip-trailing/
I make my own slip from my clay body.

Hi Ritu,
The slip is made from my same clay body. Unless you fire it will not stay on.
